The Cat’s Return A little introduction

English

There will be no dialogue, and I will be hand-drawing the pictures myself.

I would like to ask Ghibli and all other parties involved to please accept my sincere condolences.

The English title is “The Cat’s Return”, but the literal translation in Japanese is “Cat!s repayment of Favor”.I think this is better

If you come across something strange or puzzling, try visiting this place.
There you will find…

A sound echoes from a certain house in the morning.

Beep beep beep… Beep beep beep…

Bang!!

She falls back asleep, but wakes up a little later with an ahhhh.

Mom asks from the first floor, “Are you awake?”

She quickly changes into her uniform and heads down to the first floor.

As she hurriedly tried to leave the house, her mother asked, “Aren’t you going to eat it?”

“Mmm, it’s so delicious!” she replied, trying to get at her.

She knew she wanted to eat it but didn’t have time…

“That’s mean!” she said angrily to her mother and left the house.

This painting features a variety of plants, bicycles, cars, and buildings. Even though a lot of effort goes into creating a single moment, most people don’t notice. But Ghibli never cuts corners, even for a single, fleeting frame.

I think the creators are truly amazing.

She tripped over a step in the road and one of her shoes flew off. This girl is quite clumsy.

Faintly visible next to the girl behind her is a girl who is late for class and is trying to sneak in without being noticed.

The girl tried to hide and take her seat, but the teacher saw through her and said, “Yoshioka! Don’t be sneaky, just take your seat!”

“yes!!”

The girl sat down, with the whole class laughing, “Hahaha!!”

This is Haru. She is the main character. What Haru is looking at is…

The boy Haru was looking at was one she was interested in.

(Note) There are a few mistakes with the boy in this drawing, but I’ll go with it.

I’m not a machine, so of course I make mistakes. I think you can see that it’s hand-drawn, so

Haru was a bit shocked.

Just the two of us on the rooftop…

The Cat Returns

I was embarrassed because I was late. Machida laughed at me.・・・

He was laughing~

(This work depicts the Japanese landscape as it is, and the school looks like a normal Japanese school.
The colors are very bright and it’s a great piece.)

Why did this happen?
This might be a sign of something terrible.
And so things like this start to happen.

This is a cake shop located a little distance away from the two of them.

A cat comes out of the cake shop with a small box in its mouth.

Oh, I haven’t seen this cat before.

It’s very tiring to color these pictures. I think they are good, typical Ghibli paintings.

Do you really like Machida that much? Because he’s cool!! What about confessing your feelings?

But apparently he has a girlfriend. She’s beautiful!

You said it knowingly, isn’t that terrible!!!

I think my boyfriend is cooler

・・・・

I hope you get dumped soon

・・・・・

A cat with a box of cake in its mouth passes under their feet.

That cat had something in its mouth. A thief?

The cat looks around and seems to want to cross the road.

It looks like the cat can cross the road now.

The two of them look at the cat anxiously.

Hey, cat! It’s dangerous!

The traffic light turns green

Isn’t that a bit dangerous? Huh?

When the cat walks to the middle of the road…

The car starts moving. The truck driver is talking on his cell phone while driving.

The cat has to hurry to cross the street and drops the important box.

In order for the cat to get the box in its mouth, it needs to be turned upside down,

but this is not easy.

The truck is approaching. The cat must hurry.

No way! What’s that cat doing?
