I’ll try to illustrate roughly only about 30 minutes of the story.
I’ll try to convey the atmosphere of the work while avoiding dialogue as much as possible.
These are illustrations I’ve drawn in the past, but there are some that I wish I had drawn more carefully. If possible, I’d like to redraw them later and replace them.

Princess Mononoke

This young man is Ashitaka, and he senses something strange and tells the girls to return to the village.

The elders say something is wrong with the mountains. There are no beasts or birds anywhere!!
The forest animals sensed the strange phenomenon before the humans did and are already fleeing. Some of the villagers have also noticed that something is wrong.

Although this work is titled Princess Mononoke, Ashitaka is actually the main character.
Some kind of danger is approaching from the forest.

Looking out into the forest from the lookout overlooking the village, I sense that the old man is not human.

A large number of leech-like creatures appeared.

Boom boom boom!! Rattle rattle rattle!!
The thing breaking down the stone wall and invading the village is something not of this world.
It’s something evil and hateful.

The monster heads straight for the village. It seems to have a strong grudge against humans and is seeking revenge against them.

The elder says, “It’s a vengeful spirit.”

Within the leech-like creatures, we can see the original creatures.
Hatred can sometimes turn a person into an ugly person, but it has transformed animals.

Ashitaka tries to stop the vengeful spirit from heading towards the village, but the vengeful spirit advances in anger and does not hear him.

The vengeful spirit was heading towards the village, but changed his target and chased the girls.

Ashitaka tries to stop it somehow

A girl falls and can’t run away

The elders told him not to shoot the arrow at the vengeful spirit, but to protect the girls,

Bash!! Fire an arrow

WHACK!! The vengeful spirit screamed. Ashitaka knew he shouldn’t shoot it, but

The vengeful spirit falls, grabbing Ashitaka’s arm.

The true identity of the vengeful spirit was a giant boar

Ashitaka’s arm is badly sore. He immediately applies medicine to it.

The boar, lord of the mountain, dies with these words: “You filthy humans, know my suffering and hatred.”

The boar came from a far western land. The poison from a serious wound drove it insane, its body rotting, and as it ran, the curse deepened, turning it into a demon. Ashitakahiko, show everyone your right arm.

Ugh!!

No one can change their fate, but they can choose to wait or take action.
The bruise will eventually reach your bone and kill you.

Look! This stone was embedded in the boar’s body. It broke its bones, tore its innards, and caused it horrible suffering. Otherwise, the boar would never have become a monster…
Something ominous is happening in the West… If you go there and see things with clear eyes, perhaps you can find a way to break the curse… Yes.

Brother… Kaya… it’s forbidden to see someone off…
I’ll accept my punishment. Please, accept this.

Please take it for me

Isn’t this your precious jeweled knife? I breathed life into it to keep it safe. Kaya is always, always thinking of her brother. I’m sure… I’m sure

Me too. I’ll always think of Kaya.

war?

It hit me!!
